The Keg

Keg restaurants are popular throughout Canada for their contemporary flavours and friendly atmosphere. King of the menu are well-marbled steaks that are aged for quality, seasoned with their signature spice blend and grilled over an open flame to guest preference. The lodge-like wood décor, rock fireplaces, comfortable booths and bars with counter seats at both Banff Keg locations contribute to a warm and relaxed mood. The Caribou Lodge restaurant hosts à la carte and buffet breakfast 6:30 am to 11 am, lunch 11 am to 4 pm and Sunday buffet brunch from 11 am to 2 pm.

  • Starters: shrimp baked with garlic, herbs and Jack and cheddar cheeses; calamari in ginger garlic sauce; escargot or crab stuffed mushroom caps; Santa Fe chicken dip; shrimp cocktail; bacon-wrapped scallops; crab cakes with dill caper mayo
  • Salads: Caesar; mixed; spinach or iceberg wedge; add chicken, top sirloin or black tiger shrimp
  • Classic Dinners (naturally grilled or teriyaki marinated): filet wrapped in applewood smoked bacon; NY striploin; sirloin; hand-carved prime rib au jus
  • Keg Combinations: prime rib or sirloin with grilled tiger shrimp, king crab legs or Atlantic lobster tail
  • Sirloin or Chicken Oscar: topped with shrimp, scallops, asparagus and béarnaise sauce
  • Grilled Salmon: with honey, dijon, whole grain mustard glaze; or sweet and mildly spicy sauce basted
  • Creole Chicken: topped with shrimp and scallops
  • BBQ Chicken and Ribs: with The Keg’s BBQ sauce
  • Pecan Crusted Sirloin: with crumbled goat cheese
  • King Crab Legs; or Atlantic Lobster Tails: with hot butter for dipping
  • Famous Billy Miner Pie: mocha ice cream on chocolate crust with hot fudge, caramel and almonds
