Sukiyaki House
First time diners are surprised at the nice view at this second floor Japanese restaurant where 14-foot floor-to-ceiling windows in the front (that open to a patio) overlook Banff Avenue Square and Mt Rundle. Inside, Japanese art stimulates appetites for the flavourful cuisine served at tables, private tatami rooms (that seat up to 10), and the sushi bar where you watch skilled chefs prepare the fare. The extensive photo menu makes ordering easy. All-you-can-eat sukiyaki and shabu-shabu hot pots that you cook yourself are a popular option for your entire table. Banff’s only Izakaya menu (Japanese tapas) is available.
