St James's Gate Olde Irish Pub
This is really is a traditional Irish pub and restaurant. The furniture, bar and taps, and decor artifacts were gathered in Dublin and transported to Banff in two large containers. So it’s no wonder that The Gate has a warm friendly atmosphere that attracts large numbers of local visitors and residents. The food includes pub favourites with innovative twists, there are 24 beers on tap and over 30 scotches are on offer (along with 8 Irish whiskeys). Happy hour is 5 pm to 7 pm daily, and live music (often featuring Celtic, Maritime and classic rock bands) plays most nights
