Silver Dragon
Almost 20 years ago, part of the family that own and operate the venerable and well-regarded Silver Dragon in Calgary’s Chinatown moved to Banff to open a restaurant in the mountains. Their Hong Kong trained chefs are experts at preparing Cantonese and Peking cuisine, authentic dishes and specialties (like ginger beef) that appeal to western palettes. The decor of the Banff restaurant features black and berry colour accents, skylight, great Rundle Mountain view, and a crab and lobster tank. Groups are accommodated at large, round tables, and take-out and delivery are available.
- Appetizers: spring rolls, dry spareribs, grilled pork and vegetable dumplings, salt and pepper seafood
- Soup: hot and sour, wor won ton

- Chicken: curry boneless chicken hot pot, cashew chicken, hot palace-style chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Silver Dragon special crispy chicken
- Beef: black pepper beef on a hot plate, ginger fried beef, Mongolian beef, beef with snow peas
- Pork: pineapple sweet and sour pork, honey garlic spareribs, Peking-style pork loins
- Seafood: Live lobster from the tank with ginger, black bean or creamy butter sauce, hot Palace-style prawns, pan fried three kinds of seafood
- Vegetables: Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, eggplant with Szechwan-style sauce, Silver Dragon special chop suey
- Noodles: fried thick noodles with seafood, Singapore-style noodles, Silver Dragon special chow mein
- Desserts: mango pudding, almond jelly tofu, kiwi surprise, fresh fruit
