Saltlik A Rare Steakhouse
This Banff restaurant offers an impressive selection of AAA and Canadian Angus Beef complemented by a diverse collection of wines from their open-to-view cellar. Steaks are cooked in a 1200°F infrared oven that quick seals in juices for tender, flavourful results. The elegant and comfortable restaurant features a vaulted ceiling, fireplace and heated patio with mountain views. The Lik Lounge downstairs offers a more casual dining experience with value-priced ‘lunch’ menu items available during dinner. Both restaurant and lounge serve signature beers and offer a large martini selection (with Thursday specials).
- Lunch Salads: grilled chicken with charred corn and avocado, salmon with pea-shoots and roasted potatoes, and Greek with lamb kebob and mint yogurt dip
- Lunch Sandwiches: mushroom and gruyère burger, Italian ham and brie panini, and seared halibut
- Starters: fresh oysters on the half shell with raspberry Serrano mignonette, pancetta wrapped scallops with minted sweet pea risotto, and wings with sweet chili and garlic dip
- Double Fisted Bacon Cheddar Burger: from fresh ground chuck
- Steaks: skirt steak drizzled with aged balsamic and veal jus, rib-eye with citrus rosemary butter, New York striploin with creamy peppercorn sauce option, and filet with Béarnaise sauce
- Linguini: bacon, asparagus and sweet pea, or scallop and prawn
- Fish: wild Pacific salmon with lemongrass aioli and tobiko, yellow eye snapper with tarragon butter, and parmesan encrusted halibut with lemon risotto
