Masashi Takei takes pride operating this small Banff restaurant with vaulted ceilings, skylights and a curved bank of massive windows that overlook Banff Avenue and Mount Norquay. Choose a windowside table, or a seat at the sushi bar where classic Japanese fare is prepared as you watch by expert chefs. The bright dining room features accents of Japanese decor and signed celebrity photos of those who have dined here. Miki’s food is known for its quality, quantity and value. All-you-can-eat meals satisfy those with big appetites, and are popular with locals.
- Appetizers: chicken yakitori (on skewer), gyoza (dumplings), beef tataki (rare in ponzu sauce), shrimp and octopus sunomono (with noodles in vinegar sauce), vegetable and shrimp tempura
- Lunch: Assorted sushi, sashimi, donburi (rice bowl with seafood), salmon shioyaki, Alberta strip loin steak, chicken teriyaki

- Miki Soba: buckwheat noodles with tempura, vegetables and grated Japanese yams
- Shabu Shabu and Sukiyaki (for two): sliced Alberta rib eye, bean cake, vegetables and noodles; shabu shabu in seaweed broth with choice of ponzu or sesame sauce; sukiyaki in sweet soy sauce with egg for dipping
- Tempura, Sashimi and Lobster Course Dinners: with miso soup, sunomono salad, steamed rice, dessert and Japanese tea; some with sushi, sashimi, tempura and chicken yakitori
- All-You-Can-Eat Special: sushi, tempura, salmon teriyaki, gyoza and chicken wings with miso and udon (noodle) soup, edamame, tofu, potato croquette, steamed rice, ice cream
